Poulet a la Moutard

Poulet a la Moutard

Poulet à la moutarde is a classic French dish that translates to chicken with mustard. It's a flavorful and comforting dish where chicken is cooked in a creamy mustard sauce.

Ingredients:

  • chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and whole grain mustard. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  7. Serve the chicken breasts with the mustard sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Enjoy your delicious poulet à la moutarde with your favorite side dishes, such as rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
